A collection of work by award winning Filipino artist from abroad.

The show is an outcome of a long dialogue for several years in messenger group on Diaspora, displacement, migration of a group of Filipino creative based in different parts of the globe. The topic has long been experienced and explained in different approach. Transition is a moving and action word telling us some changes of a current and moving forward to the new. They copied how to be a normal local way of living and learned their culture so belong. Being a sensitive learning assimilating everyday and translate this into a fusion of a new set of works. At the same time manage to create some interesting current of who they are and be true to new identity. Most of them are creative director, graphic artist, creative teacher and animator.

With the passing of Alwin Reamilio a friend of the group and an early curator of the show. He himself experience diaspora living in Australia. He help us to stand back on the ground and pave the way to more eagerness to look back and asking the same question of what are we and what do we create.

After college, this four schoolmates had several group shows that can in no doubt was done by like minded individual that all of them earned a recognition at the Metrobank art competition. As a comeback show Transition promises to review a moving organic work in progress of how is it now and where are we going. A question and exploration of a changing situation. It explores /reflect the nuances of a life lived in passing probably in search for meaning that calls for it. The concept of diaspora and how it shapes our identity, memory, and belonging. It transends through organic iterations of forms and fusion of being I was born or I belong and being expose to a country they localize themselves. Its a struggle not only on everyday questions of what to eat but also what to paint. The excitement to build a small community of four transcends the Filipino values to connected society.

Their works in a sense present the questions raise of an overseas filipino workers and how they translate this complex concepts into a full that this is it or just in transition.
